Lower your energy bill
By supplying your home with cheap solar energy generated from your own solar panels and consuming it straight away, you can reduce your energy consumption from the main energy grid and therefore lower your energy bill.
Generate green electricity
By generating 100% green electricity when the sun is shining, you do not rely on energy from the grid which is usually a mix of green energy and fossil fuel-based energy.
Quick and easy installation
Quickly and easily installation with the help of mounting elements and plugs. You don’t need help of an expert to mount and connect the PV panels.
How does it work?
The photovoltaic (PV) panels generate direct current from solar energy. To use this energy within your home, an inverter is connected between your solar panel and your home which converts the direct current into standard household alternating current.
The resulting green electricity is then fed into your house or flat grid via any socket and can be directly consumed by your electrical appliances. As a result, you consume less energy from the grid which will positively affect your energy bill.

FAQ
What is plug-in-power (PIP)?
PIPs are small solar systems (usually with 1-4 PV panels). These are connected directly to the power socket and produce green household electricity.
What happens if I produce more energy than I can consume?
If more electricity is produced than your household appliances need, the surplus is fed into the public grid. Although you do not receive any remuneration for this, you contribute to the energy transition with the green electricity you produce.
How can I track the amount of energy generated?
Each PIP unity is accompanied by an app which will allow you to track your energy generation. Additionally you can link your smart meter data for the best possible overview of your energy consumption. This will help you to understand your energy load and make more informed decisions on when to consume electricity.
Where can I install my PIP?
You will achieve the best yields wherever the access to solar radiation is the best. PV panels should always be oriented towards the south, but an east or west orientation can also achieve good yields. Shading of the PV panel will reduce the energy output. Even small shaded areas can have a negative effect on the overall performance of the system.
Do I need planning permission for my PIP?
Will I produce electricity in the winter?
How much will it cost?
The cost of your Plug-In Power set depends on the number of panels you will buy. For one module the cost of a complete package is between 500 and 600 GBP. For two modules, the costs are approximately 800 and 1000 GBP.
